Ireland's All Weather PADI Dive Centre and PADI Dive School 
Welcome to Scubadive West, Ireland's most perfectly located PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) scubadiving centre. We are idyllically situated on the sheltered Killary Fjord in Connemara (the only Fjord in Ireland or the UK), which is 10 miles long with high mountains on either side and 40m depth in the middle. Scubadive West is Ireland's all weather dive centre, with sheltered scubadiving all year round. The dive centre is owned and managed by Cillian & Breffni Gray. Indeed, so ideal is our location that many other dive schools complete their training dives with us! Visitors will find plenty of accommodation locally in Tullycross, Letterfrack, Leenane and Clifden.
PADI 5 Star Scuba Dive Training Centre and National Geographic Dive Resort
As a PADI 5 Star IDC Training centre and National Geographic dive centre, Scubadive West can conduct all levels of training from Discover Scuba Diving (beginners can try a dive) to Instructor level. Cillian Gray is a PADI Course Director. Experienced PADI Diving Instructors will teach you how to dive on the PADI Openwater Diver course and continue to build your skills on the PADI Advanced Openwater course, the Rescue Diver course and the range of PADI Diver Specialty courses we run.
Private Dive Training Cove
At Scubadive West, we are blessed with our own private training cove. This is perfect for training dives and for those looking to refresh their dive skills.
Scubadive West's bespoke dive boats will ensure qualified divers can visit Ireland's leading dive sites; we make frequent dive trips to Inis Turk, Inis Boffin and Clare Island.
Gulf Stream 
Ireland's West coast, the most Westerly in Europe, is washed by the mild Gulf Stream which brings with it an abundance of colourful marine life. The highly indented nature of the coastline and the many offshore islands, provide sheltered and varied scuba diving with dramatic seascape and crystal clear waters.
Dive Boats 
We have two purpose built, diver designed boats with GPS, VHF, ladders and 20 knots plus. The Offshore Diver and our rib The Marlin allow you to travel in both speed and comfort. Each boat can carry 12 divers with full gear rental including drysuits available. Newly built in 2009 is the Brazen Hussy Connemara, a 38ft x 16ft catamaran with hydraulic lift for easy entry/exit and 3D ocean floor mapping in the passenger area.
