Who is a National Geographic Diver?

The National Geographic Diver's passport to adventure will take your mind, body and spirit on a ride unlike any other you have experienced! Perfect your buoyancy and underwater navigation skills, while completing an exciting underwater project of your choice. Learn to dive like an underwater scientist and really appreciate the privileges we have as divers.

Scubadive West is the perfect location to start your journey as an underwater adventurer. Our PADI 5 Star centre expertise, sheltered reef and unrivalled expertise will ensure you join an elite group of National Geographic divers worldwide. The National Geographic Diver can be completed as an add on to the PADI Openwater Diver course or can be completed as a PADI Specialty course.

Add on to your PADI Openwater Diver Course 

As an add on to the PADI Openwater Diver course, the National Geographic Diver course costs €840. This includes both Openwater Diver and National Geographic Diver certification, all Crewpacks (including your glossy National Geographic almanac and binder) and all equipment rental.

Complete as a Stand Alone PADI Specialty Course

As a PADI Specialty the National Geographic Diver costs €280. This includes your National Geographic Almanac and DVD, and two days of diving instruction.

When Can I complete this Specialty in 2010?

Complete the National Geographic Specialty in 2010 on the weekend of 28 & 29th August.

We will be perfecting your buoyancy and navigation skills over the weekend, to ensure you interact positively with the underwater environment. You will also complete an Underwater Project with a buddy. This project will encompass mapping Scubadive West's inhouse reef and noting significant marine factors. Throughout this project you will be thinking, acting and reviewing information just like an underwater scientist.
