Winter Sunshine 2009     Scubadive West Red Sea Dive Safari    7 Days       Wadi Lahami Eco-Village

This is Red Sea diving like you have never before experienced. Situated on the extensive lagoon of Wadi Lahami, 400 km south of Hurghada and just above Ras Banas this unique "deep south" eco-village is superbly located directly opposite the multitude of offshore reefs collectively known as the Fury Shoals.                                                    

Dives are conducted from fast RIBs, carrying 8 - 10 divers are are designed to access Fury Shoals - 6 miles offshore - as quickly as possible. These offshore islands and reef chains are rich in marine life and for enthusiastic photographers, three interesting wrecks have been discovered here.

Accomodation is in Wadi Lahami Eco-Village. This village is the result of 20 years' work by Hossam Helmy in pioneering the fringe reef oceanography of the Egyptian coastline between Safaga and Sudan. The ultimate diving adventure, a trip to Wadi-Lahami gives easy access to many outstanding reefs in these still relatively remote locations. Leave behind the stresses of the Western World and awaken your pioneering spirit. You will stay in spacious twin bedded tents on the beach, each with its own electricity supply. There are modern shower and toilet facilities.

This is a Scubadive West dive trip, but we will be working closely with our tour agent in the UK ,Oonas Divers. Cost of the trip is €1130.50** (**please note that this is based on 2008 flight prices and could be subject to change in 2009. However, our tour agent feels confident that this will not be the case. The dive safari portion of this price is set so only flights are subject to change). Price includes flights from UK, full board for 7 nights, 6 days offshore diving programme, 2 guided dives at the Fury Shoal and 2 dives on inshore reef.

All payments by cheque/bank draft/bank transfer made out to Oonas Divers. A deposit of €250 must be with Scubadive West (made out to Oonas Divers) by 1st February 2009.

Our flight will depart Gatwick on Wednesday 7th October 2009 - mid-morning departure. You will need to organise your own flights to/from UK.
