Learn to Dive with the PADI Openwater Diver Course

The PADI Openwater Course consists of knowledge development, skill development and open water dives. The knowledge development is covered through self study, audio visual presentations and quizzes.Skill development takes place in a pool or confined body of water and the final phase of your course is completed over four open water dives at our dive centre in the clear,sheltered waters of Little Killary Bay. This phase allows you to gain the experience necessary to dive independently in the open water environment.

We offer the PADI Openwater Diver course in two different formats:

Dive Holiday
Enjoy a week in lovely Connemara and combine a holiday with gaining your PADI international diving licence! Complete the course Monday thru Friday (10am to 5pm) at the Dive Centre.

Modular
For the person whose time is valuable, finish most of the knowledge development at home with videos and a self study book. Complete the course over two weekends (3days plus 2days). This is virtually personal tuition and includes the PADI DVD, crewpack, all gear and certification.

National Geographic Diver  €840

Complete two additional dives after your PADI Open Water Diver course and obtain the National Geographic Diver rating. These two dives will focus on your buoyancy and navigation skills, while increasing your awareness of the underwater environment.  You will join an elite group of explorers, adventurers and conservationists. The insight and training you gain during this program will broaden your awareness and take your diving skills to a new level. Learn to explore like an underwater scientist
